Collar Me
A collar is a piece of material that shapes the neck of a shirt, dress, tunic or coat. While the collar is normally attached to the body of the garment, within the last few years it has become popular in women's' fashion to wear a detached collar as an accessory. This is evident from fashion houses Miu Miu, Givenchy and a new and upcoming brand called Eleven Objects. However this trend is not entirely new. In the mid- 16th century, collars were often detached from shirts as to allow for starching and embellishment. During the Edwardian period, collars were worn as jewellery.

White Light
White or cream, pale pink and nude, sheer or solid, sleeves or sleeveless, silk or rayon; this sums up my my obsession and hunt for the perfect blouse. It's so easy to pair a white silky blouse with anything and is why is a serious staple in my wardrobe. The silkiness creates a richness that leaves the observer wondering whether you've paid a lot for the piece or whether you found it second hand for a few dollars. They are my solution to everything, with jean cutoffs or leather shorts for summer or skinny jeans and trousers for winter. Many of my blouses have fallen victim to scissors- slicing off the arms and turning it into a tank top. This is an awesome way to reinvent and re-love your wardrobe without spending the money. Here's to silky blouses....
